Challenge:
The existing asphalt roof had failed as a waterproof membrane and as a vapor barrier. Maintenance costs were escalating and valuable electricity was being wasted.
Solution:
After the SPF roof and vapor barrier coating system was installed, the frost and ice inside the building has dissipated (evaporated). An analysis of the first year's electricity bills
suggests that energy savings will recover the cost of the new roof in seven years.
