This 82,000-square-foot commercial roofing project was completed for Uber’s Advanced Technology Group at the Historic Pier 70 development in San Francisco, California. The 100-year-old former shipyard lacked thermal insulation, allowing the uninsulated metal roof to reach 135 degrees and causing severe radiant heat issues inside the high-tech office. To resolve this without altering the building's historic registry status, Central Coating Company installed a two-inch thick Sprayed Polyurethane Foam Roof System, providing continuous insulation that successfully stopped recurring leaks and dropped under-deck temperatures by up to 40 degrees.
